Flames' Roy Suspended One Game

TORONTO - Calgary Flames' forward Andre Roy has been suspended for one game and fined $2,500 (the maximum allowed under the CBA) as a result of an incident in the pregame warm-up last night when he initiated contact with Chicago Blackhawks' defenseman Aaron Johnson.

Roy's suspension will be served on Saturday night when the Flames meet the Blackhawks in Game Five of the series.

Wow. Did I miss something? The only "incident" they showed on VS was Roy and Phaneuf chirping during warm ups.

Did the TSN feed miss something? All I saw was Roy pointing and talking sh!t - how the fuk does that warrant a suspension?

Doesn't matter because he only saw about 2 minutes of ice time anyway....

Does anyone really believe racist comments were made by a Hawks player...
Keenan is so full of S&it... One of the most well liked players on the Hawks happens to be part African American too..
Actually, Maybe it was Dustin Byfuglien that was spouting off to Iginla, after all they can do that kind of stuff to each other right?

I mean seriously can the league get worse? Soon you'll get 10 mins for skating on the red line in warm ups, Im about done with it. It's not even worth it anymore.

Keenan never claimed that racist comments were made. He ASKED Iginla IF any racist comments were made and he was told no. He was wondering why Iggy lost his mind and wanted to kill Burish and it is logical to wonder if anything was said about race. It wasn't and its over.

Do I think those comments were made? No, but don't assume just because the team has a player of color that those comments aren't ever said. Remember Simon used a racial epithet and he's a Native.

Quick question - have you actually watched any of this series? It's been fantastic. Tons of big hits from both teams, sh!t talking from the guys, scrums after every whistle, and close tense games. What the fuk do you want? Who gives a **** if Roy gets suspended. He hasn't played anyway.

I'm pretty sure Dustin Byfuglien is some form of native indian, the dude doesn't look black at all.
