Flames Recall Mikael Backlund

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today forward Mikael Backlund has been recalled from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Backlund, a native of Vasteras, Sweden played in one game with the Calgary Flames last season. In 47 games with the Abbotsford Heat this year he has recorded 22 points including 10 goals, 12 assists, five power play goals and two game winning goals.
