Flames Recall Kris Chucko; Reassign David Van der Gulik

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the recall of forward Kris Chucko and that forward David Van der Gulik has been reassigned to the Quad City Flames (AHL). Chucko will join the Flames in Philadelphia today in preparation for their game tonight against the Flyers.

The 6'2", 211lbs forward has reached professional career highs in goals (20); assist (18); and points (38) in 56 games played this season with Quad City. Drafted by the Flames in the first round (24th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, this is Chucko's first recall to the NHL parent team.

David Van der Gulik played his first three NHL games during the call-up, and registered his first NHL point picking up an assist on Warren Peters first NHL goal in Ottawa on March 3.
