Eric Godard Assigned to Omaha

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today that forward Eric Godard has been re-assigned to the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights (AHL).

This was Godard’s first time up with the Calgary Flames during the regular season, he played in three pre-season games and registered 12 minutes in penalties.

He played in three games, registering five minutes in penalties.

Godard, 26, has four goals and four assists and 87 penalty minutes this season in Omaha and recently had a two-goal, two-assist game for the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights.

Calgary signed Godard as a free agent on August 10th, 2006.

Talk about going out in a blaze of glory. (TKOing Boogaard) We all knew this was going to happen. He actually stayed longer than I anticipated!

Hopefully we see him every time the Wild hook up with the Flamers.

When you know something is going to happen like this, it kinda lessens the blow when it actually happens
