I think McGrattan has been under-rated as a player for his career, (just like a lot of HWs) and has never benefited from an organization like Parros has with the Ducks. He's been relegated to 4 minutes a night with pluggers. He can do more.

It's debatable whether McGrattan is a better fighter than Parros? Okay.
I don't recall ever saying anything about their fighting skills

So....
do you think for any games we'll see

Mcgrattan-???-Parros

Even if only a few games

Remember in 2007 the ducks won the cup with a line of

Shawn Thornton- Ryan Shannon -George Parros

Parros was mostly healthy scratched in the playoffs.

Brad May was on the 4th line.

I really doubt it. Maybe preseason.

I know nowadays McGrattan is a straight goon but he did put up back to back 20 goal seasons in the OHL, and 10 points in 20 games with Syracuse last year in the AHL. Those are some awesome milestones for a heavyweight enforcer. Not to mention he's still only 29, I think he can still get his career back on track.

I wonder if McGrattan and Parros will go during training camp? I'd like to think.

Parros has come along way and basically has the job. I'm just hoping McGrattan gets a lot of pre-season games. Absolute guarantee that he would be really active.

McGrattan should take matters into his own hands and put Parros on the shelf in training camp, **** him up.

I'm just glad to see that Gratt's will still be plying his trade in either the A or (if we're lucky) the show.

The guy definitely earned another chance at being an NHL enforcer with his play in Syracuse last season. Too bad he probably won't get that chance.

McGrattan is the best all around player who gets labeled as an enforcer I've ever see play in Syracuse. There has been John Badduke, Trevor Ettinger, Jody Shelley, Brandon Sugden, and Jon Mirasty and none of them came close to producing the offensive skill set Brian displayed at the end of the season last year. I mean, I've never seen an enforcer score on a breakaway with a sweet deke or consistently be the best player on the ice as he was last year.

One other thing. After the whole Mirasty fiasco with him being banished from Syracuse, this whole town was up in arms and people were threatening left and right they wouldn't resign ticket packages if the Crunch were affiliated with the Ducks for next season. After the Ducks made this deal and assigned him to the Crunch, even though he barely fought, he restored a lot of fans' faith in Anaheim and, even more amazing to me, considering his legend and popularity in this town, made a lot of people forget about Jon Mirasty.

I for one am excited he'll be back in Syracuse. If he plays like last year he could put up around 35 - 40 points and being a legit Top 10 NHL heavy, this could be a fun year to be a Crunch fan. And those types of years don't come too often...

Good to see Mcgratts still plugging away.

He's had his share of bad luck, maybe this year he'll catch a break.

In Ottawa, he used to be the last guy off the ice, just stood out there after everyone had left with a bucket of pucks and fired laser wristers top shelf one after another. Believe it or not he has good hands and a hard shot.
