Joe DiPenta to a one-year contract.
DiPenta, 27 (2/25/79), collected 2-6=8 points with 46 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of +8 in 72 games with Anaheim during the 2005-06 regular season. The Barrie, Ontario, native appeared in all 16 of the Ducks playoff games, going scoreless with 13 penalty minutes and a +1 rating. In all, the 6-2, 206-pound defenseman has played in 75 career NHL regular season games, earning 3-7=10 points.
A third-round draft choice (61st overall) by Florida in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, DiPenta was originally signed by the Ducks as a free agent on August 10, 2005.
