It's alot to pay for him but essentially they got exactly what they wanted and needed and they dumped Lupuls salary they would have been on the hook for, for 4 more years and they wouldn't have been able to afford him. There saying they excpect another move by Philly today. Pray to god it's Briere.

A guy never knows with the two picks so until there picked and in the league who knows for sure. This is a wait and see deal depending on what Pronger can do for Philly this year. Plus he's only got 1 year left on his deal so if it don't work it frees up alot of cash next June.

Great Deal for Flyers. There are immediately cup contenders. The Ducks are in the decline and they know it. Getting Sbisa, and the two picks are them trying to build for the future. This makes me so happy cause I hate Anaheim.


Idiot Bettman doesn't even know its Joffery not Jeffery.

It is... Philly is bulking up and Briere is gone guaranteed you heard it here first. All smaller Flyers are gone.

I'm on my knees (no homo), praying they shed this goofy fukk for a bag of hockey pucks.

And on another note, I'm cool with Lupul going because of his salary and partying ways, and I'm also okay with the picks, but sending Sbisa packing doesn't even clear any space for us, the Ducks got too much IMO, but the Flyers got exactly what they needed (sans the goaltender they need).

Briere for Price rumour is circulating. Most likely a dream rumour by a Flyer fan but it's out there.

It's alot but I'm pumped for the deal. One of my favourite players playing on my team. I think we had to throw Sbisa in to get it done with Lupul having 4 more years left and Philly able to get out of the Pronger deal next year if need be. I hope not but it serves a purpose for us big time.

Fact is it doesn't matter how much we give up, if it equals a cup. My only question now is Emery.

That's an awful lot to give up, isn't it?

Short term, the Flyers are much better for next yr (if they get a goalie; Emery or Esche won't get the job done.

all they have of qaulity for small guys is Briere, Richards and Girioux and the latter to arn't going anywhere. Briere to Montreal, we pray.

I agree with you that Richards and Giroux will stay for sure... I can see Parent, Ross and maybe Timmonen as expendable.
