This is great

I just wish their defense would start taking shape. It looks like a mix-mash of nobodies and used to bes.

this trade is decent for the agitating purposes but not much else. Anaheim seems to be on the receiving end of many of these weird trades, they are getting an awful lot of low round draft picks, or shipping them out for others... just weird.

What a steal. Really thought the Pens were gonna bring him back.

If the Ducks really want Matt Cooke....

These guys are agitators in the regular season but a guy like ruutu becomes very valuable in the playoffs. Skill and grit are a great combination.

True. And they gave up nothing to get him. Good move for the Ducks.

Sounds like Ottawa is calling up Lessard to replace Ruutu. This could mean that Neil and or Carkner are next up on the list to be moved out.

Only for a 6th rounder too, they got him pretty cheap! Thats the best Murray could get for him?

I thought the Ducks would be sunk without Getzlaf, but when he was out they actually got better and are making a big push to make the playoffs. They are quickly turning into a team you do not want to meet is the first round - Ruutu only makes them tougher to play against. Nice cheap pickup by the Ducks.

Gives the Ducks a little more of an identity, not like they really needed it. I like the move... for a 6th rounder it really can't hurt. With Getzlaf and Hiller back and healthy the Ducks could make it far in the playoffs this year for sure... they are not a team you'd want to play a 7 game series against that's for sure.

Yep.

Duck fans can't be too displeased with this deal. Stirrer, meet the drink.
