Do the Leafs covet Scotty Bowman?

Maple Leafs CEO Richard Peddie met with Red Wings consultant Scotty Bowman "to discuss a senior position, quite possibly team president," the Toronto Sun reports.

Citing unnamed sources, the Sun said the Leafs are interested not only in Bowman, but also Wings GM Ken Holland and his assistant, Jim Nill.

That's all? What about Al Sobotka? Anyway, Scotty denies the meeting happened.

"I have no interest at all," he told the Sun. "I'm set with Detroit. I like the team. I like the job. The Wings know my position. I told them, if anyone calls, tell them I'm not interested."
