Carcillo did not deserve 2 games. Maybe 2 hours in the corner with a dunce cap on but not 2 games. I would like to know what his intentions were though. Why not just drop the gloves? Clarkson was more than willing and his gloves were coming off at the time of the crosscheck. Maybe this is just karma for all the penalties Carcillo has drawn latley and his comments in the media afterwards.

This was a given due to Carcillo's previous suspensions/history. Did the NHL get it right the first few times, NO! But then again, it's the NHL front offices that make the calls. One has to wonder what the NHLs' true intentions are at this point. Not that I disagree with suspending repeat offenders, but players like Carcillo are necessary. He just needs to take 'a log off the fire' from time to time and play hockey. We have all seen what Carcillo is capable of when he goes out on the ice to play hockey.

i watched the clip very carefully. look at clarkson's right hand on carcillo's second "cross check"......you can see that clarkson's right hand caused carcillo's stick go higher
