Daniel Carcillo Suspended for Two Games
TORONTO – Philadelphia Flyers forward Daniel Carcillo has been suspended for two games, without pay, as a result of delivering a cross check to the head of New Jersey forward David Clarkson during NHL Game #1125, March 28, the National Hockey League announced today.

The incident took place at 15:14 of the third period and Carcillo was assessed a match penalty and game misconduct for attempt to injure.

Carcillo, who was suspended for four games on December 5, 2009, is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Accordingly, he forfeits $21,798.78 in salary, based on the number of games in the season (82), rather than the number of days (193). The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

Carcillo will miss games on April 1 at New York Islanders and April 3 against Montreal. He will be eligible to return April 4 against Detroit.

Why doesn't Clarkson shut the **** up? He said it himself he tried to punch him, but the stick got up, and the next thing he sais is it was "dirty" What a ****ing tough guy.

Colin Campbell should just die. Dumb suspension but i guess Carcillo's rep came into play.

Plus Campbell can get him back for punching his favorites teams best player.

Nevermind I just saw it on NHL.com. This is one of the biggest bullshyt suspensions I have ever seen. How the **** does Carcillo deserve to be suspended for that? Oh I know why...because he's Dan Carcillo. Let's forget the fact that there was ZERO intent and that players get their sticks up like this all the time.

Colin Campbell needs to resign.

2 games for a glorified facewash, brutal. Clarkson crying to the media didn't help. If Crosby did that to Clarkson there wouldn't even have been a penalty.

All things considered, the blatant conspiracy against the Flyers included, Carcillo got off relatively easy here.

The NHL is a joke. What a terrible suspension. I'm just sorry now that Carcillo really didn't cross check him in the head.
