I thought he would end up here. Chicago's really surprising me with the toughness they have added. Does this mean John Scott gets no ice time ever.

Commie seems to be very happy to be here. If he can keep his injuries limited, not develop an attitude, and stay out of the doghouse, he has a promising year ahead of him! Oh, and keep the fighting to a minimum!

John Scott can play defense and has for the hawks before, but I'm sure they will have more then enough d-men.

I like this signing as long as he can make an effort to eliminate the diving.
I'm really liking what the Hawks have done recently, but the O'Donnell signing got me worried about where Scott will fit in. If Campoli resigns, then that gives us 8 D-men, and Scott had trouble getting in the lineup as a #7. Bowman has said he would like to see him get more ice time, yet he may have gotten pushed even further down the depth chart...guess we'll have to wait and see. Like others, still holding out hope for Z since we still need a 4th line center |

As a forward, there is no where near as much lateral movement for a big guy like him. And having watched him a lot in his career, that is his BIG issue. Watching him pivot and open up was almost painful to watch. Hopefully with him as a forward, its a lot more straight forward crashing and banging. Couple that now with Carcillo and Mayers... not a bad little bit of toughness.
