Ok, I thought you were saying "if he has so many points it's because he plays on the PP".

Another good move for Buffalo.
Ott is what some of the old timers called a sandpaper guy. He has a lot of grit and rubs the other team raw. He draws the other team into taking dumb penalties and can take them out of their game. The east is going to be a lot more entertaining with the moves the Habs and Buffalo have made.

I should be happy about this trade but I'm not because I've always hated Ott and I've seen Derek Roy play for years here in Rochester and as a Sabre...he was really getting on my nerves last year but to trade him for Ott is just painful. I'll have to see if he becomes less annoying now that he's on my team.

Somehow mixed feelings about this.
I do like the fact that the Sabres are getting Ott. If he plays up to his offensive potential he can score 20 goals while being the pest he is. If the Sabres keep around Kaleta too, give Foligno some playing time and keep McCormick and Scott in the lineup for some games, I'll be more then happy. (Highly doubt that will ever happen). On the other side I always liked Roy. He is a great guy and a very good player, but he sure has lost something of his offensive game lately. With Hodgson hopefully emerging the Sabres can move on without Roy. I'm just getting my finger crossed that the Sabres keep Kaleta. And one thing I really don't understand is Regier's statement about the trade...he was talking about getting tougher and more difficult to play against, and he says this just some months after he traded away Gaustad and Kassian.

Ott and Kaleta? Really??
Should definitely be interesting to watch. The east is just piling up the pests and tough guys, it's going to be really ugly to see teams run over the Lightning again unless they change their philosophy and get a real enforcer, not this "team toughness" bullsh1t that they aren't even good at.
