Dallas recalls Aaron Gagnon from Texas
Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Friday that center Aaron Gagnon has been recalled from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
"This is a big day for the Texas Stars and a big day for Aaron Gagnon," said Texas General Manager Scott White. "Aaron is a responsible player who is deserving of this opportunity. Our main goal here is to develop Dallas Stars and we will continue to do that." Gagnon becomes the first player in Texas Stars history to receive a call up to the NHL. The 23-year old has played in five games for the Texas Stars in 2009-10, recording one goal and eight penalty minutes. He collected 19 points (8g, 11a) in 61 games last season for Grand Rapids of the AHL last season. Gagnon skated in two games for Dallas in the preseason this year but has not yet made his NHL debut. He was signed as a free agent by Dallas on Feb. 7, 2007.
