Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed center
Jordan Martinook to an entry level contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Last season, the 6-foot-1, 209-pound Martinook recorded 40-24-64 and 80 penalty minutes (PIM) in 72 games with the
Vancouver Giants (WHL). Martinook ranked second on the Giants in goals and was third on the team in points. In six playoff games, Martinook added 3-6-9 ranking second on the team in points and tied for third in goals.
The 20-year old native of Leduc, Alberta recorded 11-17-28 and 67 PIM in 72 games with the Giants in 2010-11. Martinook was selected by the Coyotes in the second round (58th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
