No surprise on Keefe and Nesbitt. With McGrattan, Fedoruk and Carcillo holding spots on the Coyotes, there was no room for them in the toughness department in the desert.

Well no excuse why Josh Tordjman was sent, he needs to put on some weight. Listed at 6'1 155lb

The Coyotes will have a lot of toughness in the NHL and AHL.

NHL:

Brian McGrattan
Todd Fedoruk
Daniel Carcillo

Then you've still got guys like Morris and Jovanovksi.

AHL:

Francis Lessard
Adam Keefe
Jeff Hoggan
Drew Fata
Steve Goertzen
Simon Ferguson
Garth Murray

Murray is still technically with the Coyotes and he got some praise today from Gretzky in the Arizona Republic. Obviously it's still very unlikely that he'll make the team but apparently he has impressed so far.

I don't think Nesbitt is a tough guy.

He's the only one that played every game in preseason. He's getting a long look at. Gretzky praised Murray on his defense/penalty killing and with the amount of penalty minutes the coyotes are gonna rack up this year, it may work out.
