The NHL doesn't need to protect idiots like Cluster*uck. His job is to go out and run guys, then run and hide behind the ref when it is time to pay the piper. McCormick should have gotten Molson first star instead of a penalty.

Clutterbuck hits Foote in the head earlier and injures him. There is no chance in hell the vagina Clutterbuck would have stood up for that hit by fighting Cody, or anybody else. He got hit in the head and laid there like he just got sniped in the dome and made a meal of it.

Get rid of the ****ing instigator and Clutterbuck would have been forced into standing up for injuring Foote by fighting Cody or Lappy or anyone. The cross check would never have occurred because Cal would of been forced into standing up for his hit on Foote and all would be forgotten.

A novel idea....let the players police themselves.

They risk injury everytime they go on the ice. It was in the spur of the moment, nothing intentional about it. He was suspended for the crosscheck, which probably was intentional. In my eyes it was an act of desperation with just a bunch of woulda, coulda, should ofs.
check the footage again, he kept on trying to grab on the back of the jersey to yank him down, it was COMPLETELY intentional. If you are losing a battle and want out of the scrap, turtle or call the refs, you may look like a puss for doing it, but it's far less threatening then driving a guy head first to the ice.

Yea he wanted to take him down any way he could to end the fight. Unfortunately it was a sketchy one obviously he wasn;t thinking he going to end it that way just any way he could.

How many times has Cal fought this year? a handful, the last of which was against staios to stick up for a teamate. He doesnt need to fight everytime someone goes down from one of his CLEAN hits. He would have fought Cody, who has gotten owned in every fight this year. A guy who stays on the ice for 20 seconds after a cross check to the head gets more respect in my book than a BIT*H who cant take his ass kickin when he has it coming. And to cry that Cal is hitting you too much, go back to being the police of the figureskaters. We'll see on st pattys day at the rematch wont we.

McCormick went after him, it's not like Scott jumped him at any time.

Cluttercooke is a choad... that being said, McCormicksorley hitting him with a head-high crosscheck is triple that. Suspend him 5 or 10 for that, maybe the message to not hit in the face or on the coconut will get across.

As for the takedown, it reminded me of Vandermeer's elbow driving Ryan Flinn's head onto the ice a few years back. That was much, much less of a move than this one, but the effect was devastating. We haven't seen Ryan in the NHL since.

Your a hypocrite and a retard....... Cody threw down with Scott, Did Clutterfuk throw down with cody or anyone to answer for his hit ? no, Cody threw down with a much bigger guy. The hit on Clutterfuk was a cheap shot. but your post is full of contradictions

Clutteruk has throw down 4 times this year and look at it
Keith Yandle-win for clutter
Carlo Colaiacovo-A beatdown for Carlo
Ian White-Win Clutter
Steve Staios-Win Stevie

the toughest guys he danced with he got beat by, Carlo n' Staios.

I like that fact that the kid throws his weight but your making a double standard statement......... and it's Obvious your a Wild Homer.

As for Cody's card this year he has 8 fights getting a close win over Iggy, Draws with Hordi, Greene n' Byfuglien and Losses to Strudwick, Grossman, Scott n' Eager. Who has the Tougher Card ?

I don't like Clusterfck, but that mainly has to do with how he played against the Admirals last year in the A. If there is no John Scott or Derek Boogaard, then Cal probably wouldn't be running around nearly as much.

That said...he is an elite checker and has honed the timing of making a perfect hit, which I can respect.

Sukoshi handled everything that needed to be said. The fact that you joined specifically to defend Cal "The Saint" Clutterbuck is comical. All you do is contradict yourself and show you know nothing except whatever you see through your homer goggles. And like Suko stated Cody has 8 fights against much better fighters and has not gotten "owned" in all of them like you stated.
