Colorado's Matt Duchene Suffers Hand Injury, Out Indefinitely
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that forward Matt Duchene will be out indefinitely due to a hand injury suffered on Monday against the Calgary Flames.
Duchene, 20, is the Avalanche’s leading scorer with 47 points (21g/26a) in 57 games. He also leads the club in goals and shots (141). The Haliburton, Ontario native was selected to his first NHL All-Star Game this past January, where he scored a goal and also attempted the first penalty shot in All-Star Game history. The Avalanche enters tonight’s contest against Pittsburgh having lost 280 man-games due to injury, third most in the league. |
I can't think of any other bad luck senarios for the Avalanche. What a horrible season they are having despite all the injurie woes and the Forsberg Scam =P
What doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger, I'm sure the young Av's will put all that aside and be ready with more fire next year |
