i was at the game and that was a clear elbow to the face. frolik stumbled off the ice after that one. florida returned the favor a bit later when green took the worst of a collision.

So two Caps players agree with the suspension, FatFuk Boudreau is "livid", and Green doesn't even think he deserved a penalty. I think I'll go with Knuble and Laich on this one. It was a stupid move, and easily could've put the NHL under the spotlight again, especially after the Cormier fiasco. Green should've got at least 5 IMO.

Well then you know that its legal, why would there be a penalty at all. You cross the middle with your head down you going to get hit. We seen it over and over. Players don't need to give that space up, but puck carries should be smarter and carry more responsibility for putting themselves in vulnerable situations.

H3ll it shocked me when they suspended ovechkin earlier in the yr. Im waiting to see if crosby will ever get suspended for fisting someones ass in a scrum
No ****ing ****! The NHL and Colin Campbell are (is) a ****ing mess ... and that's why it's a distant #4 in pro sports! The best sport is becoming the biggest joke!

Seeing as OV would be a repeat offender, maybe he wouldn't be getting off completely free of penalty, maybe not three games but maybe a suspension.

I was actually surprised that there was a suspension and that it came so quickly.
