Godammit I hate the Canucks! I thought Volpatti was doing great for the Nucks, fighting some tough customers, not being a liability on the ice and dishing out some big hits. Not sure what more you could ask from the kid...He was one of the most entertaining players we had and was only getting better. So frustrating.

Volpatti was waived to make room for Steve Pinizzotto. Pinner has better numbers than APatti in every department. He's also a better fighter and more willing. Volpatti will never be anything more than a fringe 4th liner on the Canucks. Good luck to him.

To those saying that GMMG lost AV for nothing, they probably shopped him around and no one wanted to trade for him. AV was a healthy scratch BEHIND Dale Weise.

To Steve Pinnizzotto: SHED THE VISOR!!!

According to Jason Botchford there was plenty of interest in Volpatti & again, Gillis blows losing a decent tough guy for nothing.
Gillis also lied about Malhotra, just another reason to hate Gillis even more. I think his days are numbered because they blew the Hodgson trade, & there are no good prospects on the Wolves.
Sorry but I'd rather have Volpatti on my team than Pinnizotto.

I bet Matt Hendricks is racing to the airport now as we speak.
Good pick up GMGM,he'll bring some needed spark to that dull squad.
Canucks and Flyers get the dumbass award for this week so far.

Volpatti had been improving this season compared to the last couple we'd seen him with the Canucks I think he'll turn into a solid 4th line guy rather than a fringe player. Pinizzotto on the other hand has never played a game in the NHL, has battled with injuries his whole professional career and is listed as 15 pounds lighter than Volpatti. A smaller, injury prone guy who's never played a game in the show? Sorry, I'd rather have Volpatti than him.

I like the fact that Volpatti throws to win a fight and now he's gone. I don't know anything about Pinnizotto so have no opinion but from the videos on youtube, not so impressed.

Damn and Calgary gets McGrattan, DAMN!!

I must have over looked this thread, but it is disappointing to me McCormick can't find a team because he cost to much. Good for the Caps though, Volpatti can throw'em
