Capitals Assign Frederic Cassivi to Hershey

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Capitals have assigned goaltender Frederic Cassivi to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Cassivi has backed-up goaltender Olie Kolzig in net for two games (Feb. 4 vs. New York Islanders, Feb. 6 vs. Boston) after being called up from Hershey on Feb. 4. The 31-year old netminder has yet to see action for the Capitals this season.
