This seems a bit pointless unless Peters has done something to upset Florida management I havent heard about, if he does play the easy has just become even more stacked

Makes sense for Vancouver, they're trying everything to get under the cap by today. You can't get cap relief on players put on LTIR before the season starts so they will be assigning a handful of non-waiver eligible players with bigger cap hits to the AHL for one day, then recall them tomorrow and place their injured guys on LTIR. Hordi had a hit of $775k to Peters' $500k. Either that or they were doing Hordi a favour. To be honest, I'm not sure if anyone other than management know what Vancouver has up their sleeve.
As for Florida, maybe they're actually gonna use Hordi. Last edited by Thrillhouse; 10-06-2010 at 01:29 PM. |

Sounds like Vancouver went out trying to get Hordi an NHL job. Classy move from them, and a razor thin improvement on the cap.

Both team wins with this move, Florida needs an enforcer. Florida is too light team though and someone like Hordi comes a lot toughness and punching powers for team Florida. |

So is there any chance Vancover will dress Peters on Saturday? Do they have a Heavy in the line up?
Westgarth is scheduled to play and was hoping he would have a dance partner.

Good for Hordichuk, let's hope he can get at least 50 games. Is #24 available?
Is there any hope, through injuries or Albertans coming to town, that Peters gets a call up to Vancouver?

I hope they play Hordi and I hope he leaves a greasy spot on the ice where a Hurricane player used to be.

I'm not sure which guy I would want to have less as my team's "enforcer". I guess Florida will actually play Hordi, so him and King might end up being a good rivalry, but yeah...I dislike both of these guys.
