At least the Canucks have gotten themselves a guy that will man up against the Hordichuks and the other HWs they will meet in the division/conference.

Wow, 3 pages of comments for a Canucks signing. If this is Gillis' answer to the team's toughness, just not enough in my opinion. Geez, when was the last time the Canucks had a legitimate heavyweight? "I don't win or lose" Langdon a decade ago? Or Brashear the year before? Since them, gone through Brookbank and Hordichuk but I don't consider them intimidating heavyweights.

Should have signed Carkner or MacIntyre or Parros.

Hordichuk and Brookbank were legitimate heavies. IMO Hordichuk is just as legitimate as Parros.

Stache is cool but really he's nothing more than a 1-1-1 heavyweight.

i liked wade and darcy, but having jeff cowan , dale weise and tanner glass playing the role of heavy weight is a shame. So either debiens or weise will be thrown to the wolves once again. kinda makes me sick.

I think Orr's career is over. Too many concussions. Gillis, or any team could've had him for free off waivers. Gillis needs a center more than an enforcer.
