Canucks Reduce Roster By 11

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have reduced their training camp roster by eleven players. The Vancouver Canucks will now have 32 players on the roster.

The following players have been assigned to the Manitoba Moose, the Vancouver Canucks AHL Affiliate:
Zack Fitzgerald, Maxime Fortunus, Shaun Heshka, Jim Sharrow, Juraj Simek, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Drew MacIntyre and Cory Schneider

The following players will be placed on waivers for assignment to Manitoba:
Greg Classen, Brad Moran and Jozef Balej

He probably won't make the opening day roster or anything (unless the Canucks blue line is decimated by injuries), but I'll bet we'll see him called up more often than he was last year. He might even have the inside track on Bourdon, but probably not Edler.

What else could describe the Canucks blue line but decimated. They had to bring in Dan McGillis, for pete's sake.
