Canucks Recall Byron Bitz

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that forward Byron Bitz has been recalled from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Bitz, 27, has played 24 games with the Wolves this season recording nine points (2-7-9) and 11 penalty minutes. In eight games with the Canucks this season, the Saskatoon, SK, native has registered four points (1-3-4) and logged 14 penalty minutes.

Originally selected 107th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by Boston, the 6’4", 215-pound forward signed with Vancouver as a free agent July 25, 2011.
