Canucks Reassign Victor Oreskovich and Ryan Parent

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have assigned right wing Victor Oreskovich and defenceman Ryan Parent to the AHL Chicago Wolves.

Oreskovich, 25, split the 2010.11 season between the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose. He appeared in 16 regular season games with Vancouver, collecting three points (0-3-3), and 19 playoff games, recording 12 penalty minutes. The Whitby, Ontario native also registered 12 points (4-8-12) and 38 penalty minutes in 40 games with the Moose.

Oreskovich was originally selected by the Colorado Avalanche with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Parent, 24, has played in 106 career NHL games, registering seven points (1-6-7) and 36 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted 18th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Nashville Predators.
