Canucks Re-Sign Tom Sestito to Two-Year Contract

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have signed left wing Tom Sestito to a two-year deal.

Sestito, 25, has appeared in 23 games with Vancouver, recording a goal and 53 penalty minutes. The 6’5” left wing also dressed for the Philadelphia Flyers in 2012.13. In seven games with Philadelphia, he collected two goals, including one game-winner, and added 12 penalty minutes.

The Rome, New York, native has collected eight points (5-3-8) and 212 penalty minutes in 57 games played with the Canucks, Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets.

The 228-pound forward was originally selected by Columbus in the third round, 85th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Not bad for a guy with two left feet who makes bone-headed plays on the regular...

Careful, or I might think think you're still bitter about Sestito tooling the Bruins.

The last thing I remember was Looch wiping his ass with Burrito's face.

How convenient (and unsurprising). The last thing you remember is Lucic EDGING out Sestito, and forget that Sestito went on to consistently knock the Bruins around unanswered, including taking Horton out to the "Burrito" buffet for a scrambled eggs platter. Not to worry, I'm sure there will be a swift response by the Bruins next year.

Nah, Lucic "knocked around" Sestito's face for the win.

One-way, two-year. Excellent, now Colorado and Calgary should resign Bordeleau and McGrattan respectively.

Barely edged Sestito in that one. Some rearranging that was! And Looch subsequently disappeared while Sestito trucked everyone he could. For the cherry on top, Tito flipped Horton sunny side up. And no man, woman, or child in Boston has yet to do anything about it.

The Bruins haven't played a game versus Sestito since that hit, but why let facts get in the way? To the contrary, nobody has done a thing to Lucic since he beat Sestito and boarded Rinaldo, lest we forget Hartnell turtling to Thornton.

Good night.

You'll be back. You always come back.

There was no response that game, either. The Bruins had their opportunity. I thought the Bruins always stood up for each other?

Why does anyone have to do anything to Lucic if he EDGES someone in a fair fight? Lucic boarded Rinaldo? When? Surely, you aren't referring to this -- by even Rinaldo's admission -- clean hit?

Milan Lucic "boards" Zac Rinaldo

Keep it up, you're doing great.

I never said the Bruins "always stand up for each other".If you're implying they are afraid of Sestito, then you're sorely mistaken he's a mediocre fighter for his size.

As for the Rinaldo hit, when it happened real time Simmonds should have done something all things being equal. Instead, he reprimanded if Lucic you recall. Truth be told, the Flyers never really had anyone (with Shelley always out) that could give Lucic a run for his money up until they got Rosehill with like 10 games left.

I actually do agree with everything you said here. Basically though, it's irrelevant. I specifically asked about the Horton hit, the one that concussed him. Any clean hit Lucic put on Rinaldo is irrelevant and a deflection. The Bruins will have their chance against Sestito next year. I wouldn't expect anything to happen, either because they don't care anymore, or Horton won't be on the team.
