Canucks re-assign Mathieu Schneider to Manitoba
Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis, announced today that the Canucks have re-assigned defenceman Mathieu Schneider to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Schneider, 40, has played 17 games with the Canucks this season, recording five points (2-3-5) and 12 penalty minutes. In his 20 year NHL career, Schneider has played for nine teams amassing 1281 regular season games. In the 1281 games, he has recorded 739 points (223-516-739) and 1241 penalty minutes. During his NHL career Schneider has played for Montreal, New York (Islanders), Toronto, New York (Rangers), Los Angeles, Detroit, Anaheim, Atlanta and the Canucks. The 5-foot-11, 195 lbs. native of New York, NY, won the Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993.
