Ebbett likely will not clear waivers.
That may be the only reason he makes the team over Schroeder. Schroeder can be sent down without having to be exposed.

I like Vandermeer but something tells me we will see the same Vandermeer we saw in Phoenix. The one with no interest in physicality or fighting. Largely due to coaching philosophies, IMO but nonetheless disappointing. I hope I'm wrong though.
