Canucks Claim Kris Beech Off Waivers
Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have claimed centre Kris Beech off of waivers.
Beech, 26, joins the Canucks from the Columbus Blue Jackets where he played 16 games, scoring nine points and recording two penalty minutes in the 2007-08 season. Beech played an additional 16 games with the Syracuse Crunch, recording 15 points (5-10-15) in 16 games. Over a seven-season NHL career with four teams, Beech has played a total of 189 games and registered 65 points (24-41-65) and 111 penalty minutes. The 6’3”, 211 lbs. native of Salmon Arm, British Columbia was originally selected by the Washington Capitals in the first round, seventh overall, of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

he had 9 points in 16 games for the pathetic Blue Jackets, so I wouldn't say he completely failed there.
maybe he's more of a cancer in the locker room?? i don't know the guy, so that's pure speculation.
