Canadiens' Cammalleri Out Two Weeks With Seperated Shoulder

Quote:
The injury bug took a big bite out of the Montreal Canadiens during Tuesday's encounter with the Buffalo Sabres.

The Habs will be without sniper Mike Cammalleri for at least two weeks after he suffered a separated shoulder in the first period.

The Richmond Hill, Ontario native suffered the injury after being hit from behind by Sabres' defenceman Mike Weber. Cammalleri went hard into the boards and left the ice favouring his left shoulder.

The 28-year old Cammalleri has 13 goals and 18 assists in 43 games this season for the Canadiens.

The news got worse for the Habs as moments later forward Max Pacioretty had to be helped to the dressing room after a shot by teammate James Wisniewski hit him in the chest.

He was seen leaving the arena on a stretcher and was taken to a local hospital for observation.

To add further insult to the injury, centre Jeff Halpern was also forced to leave the game with an undisclosed injury after being hit hard by Sabres' forward Patrick Kaleta.

None of the three are expected to return the game, leaving the Canadiens with just 15 healthy skaters for the remainder of the contest.

hopefully the injuries to the other 2 aren't too severe as well... Montreal can ill afford to lose bodies for extended stretches, like all other teams.

Maybe the Blues can make another waiver claim and help the Habs out.
