Canadiens Assign Lapierre, Halak and O'Byrne to Hamilton

MONTREAL – The Canadiens announced Monday that goaltender Jaroslav Halak, defenseman Ryan O’Byrne and forward Maxim Lapierre were assigned to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs.

The 23 players complete the Canadiens’ roster when the team opens regular season, October 3 in Carolina against the Hurricanes.

In two pre-season games, Jaroslav Halak played 89 minutes, posted a 1-0 record and a 3.37 goals against average. For their part, Ryan O’Byrne participated in four pre-season games, recording 15 penalty minutes while Maxim Lapierre appeared in five games, amassing six shots on goal and four penalty minutes.
