Buffalo's Miller Out Indefinitley

Quote:
The Buffalo Sabres beat the New York Rangers Saturday night 4-2 to move into 7th place in the Eastern Conference. The loss was costly as starter goaltender Ryan Miller will be out indefinitely with an ankle injury. The early prognosis has Miller sidelined for 2-4 weeks.

the devils held it together without marty, but my canucks stank and sank without Bobby Lou { cost curtis sanford his back-up tender spot}

i worry that miller is too big a piece of the sabres puzzle for them to just roll along without him

and ankles are tricky, so many moving parts, tendons, and sinews

i think 2-4 weeks is optimistic , and if he rushes back, risks losing the whole season by aggravating the weak spot

Hopefully Bulin gets healthy enough and we trade him to Buffalo.

You guys still got Patrick Lalime!

As I recall, the last playoff game he was in, he tried gloving a puck in a twisted, softball style position before getting yanked in favour of Jani Hurme...

Of course, the year before that, he was a goal away from the Stanley Cup Finals, on a president's cup winning team. Let's see which Lalime you guys have!

With Miller suspect as far as health goes for basically the remainder of the regular season, look for Buffalo to consider trading for another goalie, Possibly Telquist from Phoenix. I think tomorrows game against a playoff opponent (Ducks on VS at 7pm) will determine whether Lalime is the stand in for Miller or whether the team needs a 3rd man to cover the slack. Should be interesting if the Sabes decide to pursue another goalie.

Not that that guy Shaud19 was boasting about couldn't do a better job than Lalime but Lalime is a veteran with some playoff experience. I think he can hold down the fort till Buffalo gets someone else at the deadline. Remember 2yrs ago they acquired some goaltending at the deadline (Conklin).
