With the addition of McCormick, as well as the three players who cleared waivers earlier in the week, the Pirates now have 24 players in camp heading into their final pre-season game tomorrow (Wednesday) when the University of New Brunswick Reds visit the Portland Ice Arena for a 7 p.m. start. Both games can be heard live on Atlantic Coast Radio's WLOB 95.5FM/1310AM beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m.

The Pirates 2009-2010 home opener will take place on Saturday, October 10th when the Providence Bruins visit the CCCC for a 7 p.m. start. Tickets for the home opener, as well as all other Pirates home games at the CCCC, go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 25th by calling (207) 775-3458, visiting the CCCC Box Office or on-line at portlandpirates.com.

Seriously? If I were a Sabres fan I'd start plotting an assasination.

Who needs McCormick when you have Paul Gaustad?

Another season of boring Bruins vs Sabres games.

It's like the Wings except they've got no skill either!
Sucks for stand up guys like Rivet and Gaustad though...
Hope Kaleta spends the season on the IR though.

This news just ruined my evening. Of all the guys Buffalo signed this offseason, McCormick was the guy I wanted to see stick.

Sabres management is a freaking joke. They had talked all offseason about the need to add grit and toughen up. So, how different is the lineup from last year? They added a 7th defenseman in Steve Montador who will probably see 30 games knowing Lindy Ruff, and Mike Grier gets added to the 3rd line. Oh, and our heavyweight goes to NJ and lands a job. Yep, sounds like they are gonna be a whole lot tougher this year .

At least Cowan hasn't been sent down yet. Not that he'll be able to dissuade Chris Neil from taking off another Sabres head. Kaleta better skate with his head on a swivel this year cuz there's noone to back him up.

Center Ice here I come. At least I'll still get the Leafs and a West Coast game on Saturday nights.

Seriously, this is fukkin pathetic.

I hereby renounce my Sabresfanship.

Fuk Golisano the cheap fuk.
Fuk Regier, the spineless fuk.
Fuk Mindy Puff, the bald puzzy.
Fuk all the Sabres fans who will sell out every game despite them sucking.

I hope someone plants that midget Gerbe right through the boards. I hope liberties are taken with Concussolly, Big Derek Roy and the rest of the boys. I hope O'byrne beats the schitt out of Katurtle on opening night, Moen beats up Gaustad and BGL terrorizes all of them.

I hope this is just a sending down to make room for a youngster for the first 5-10 games and they'll recall McCormick as soon as they sent the rookie back to minors.

Time to come over to the dark side, Jack! You'd make a good Bruins/Lucic fan.
