Bruins recall Marchand and Sabourin

The Bruins today recalled forward Brad Marchand and goalie Dany Sabourin from the Providence Bruins and assigned goaltender Matt Dalton to Providence. Marchand and Sabourin will join the B's today and travel with then on their upcoming seven-game road trip.

Marchand made his NHL/Bruins debut earlier this season on Oct. 21 against Nashville and recorded his first career NHL point in that game. He played in 12 games for Boston this year, and has 13 goals and 19 assists in 34 games for Providence.

Sabourin has played 44 games this season for the P-Bruins and has registered a 23-20-0 record with three shutouts, a 2.63 goals-against average and .914 save percentage. The 10-year-pro is a veteran of 57 NHL games with the Flames, Canucks and Penguins.

I know there is another thread about Sabourin, but he cleared waivers today. Also, Marchand was also recalled, I guess Bergeron is hurt worse than initially thought, or someone else got hurt last night.

Either that or they just want some more depth as they depart for a 7-game road trip.

On a side note, and without making another thread, Andrew Ference is out up to a week with an injured groin.
