The Ducks have been getter softer each year the last 3. Parros had the majority of the FM last year, and this year there have been a few multi-fight games... but nothing in a long time. You used to be able to count on almost a fight a game. The Ducks also have stopped playing physical, not hitting/taking the body as much... and not standing up for one another anymore.

This team did not fit Carlyle's coaching style anymore... so I don't think they'll be losing much in that type of play. I think the direction has slowly gone away from the physical type of team of the past.

A good start?
Dump:

Blake
Hiller
Getslaf

Did you seriously just say the Ducks should get rid of Getzlaf? That would be a terrible idea.

That wouldn't surprise me at all with who is the coach now. Sad to say it, but Boudreau will run Parros out of town.

So the career of George Parros in the NHL is pretty much over?

Wow, pretty soon this league will require that all players must be under 6ft tall, weigh less that 180, wear a full visor, enjoy listening to yhani, and lack two balls...

awesome

This decision as out of the blue to me.I guess the Ducks feel that the Caps quit on Bruce, and that he's a good enough coach to lead them to the promise land.Interesting

I was going to post this. The Ducks of the last couple seasons aren't anything like the team that won the cup. Still they're amongst the leaders in fights, but look what happened when Parros went down. The fights pretty much stopped happening completely. Plus they haven't been playing an all around physical game much the last couple seasons from what I've seen either.

What has Boudreau done in his NHL career to deserve a job less than a week after being fired? I don't get it.

as much as I hate him a lot. 5,000 fans a night then turned into sell outs. got 200 wins super fast. He did have great players but he did alright. Having Ovi though is the real deal.

Thought this is worth mentioning, but when Boudreau was in Hershey, his teams were 4th and then 1st in the league in FM's. Then when he comes to Washington all the sudden it changes. I don't know if it's McPhee or if it's him.
