God I hope Boudreau will not turn this club into bunch of softies and Parros will not sit in press box.

I'm a bit surprised by this. I sort of thought that Randy Carlyle was pretty safe given that he had just signed that 3 year contract extension.

You have to think that Carlyle will get another coaching job in this league. He's too good of a coach to be out of it.

Well it was fun while it lasted.. Good luck Duck fans with soft hockey play in your near future.

Also good luck to Parros, hopefully he will find NHL ice again.

I wonder if there is any way the Kings would fire TM and hire Carlyle?????

Mhmmm. BBQ.

Don't think there is any way this changes or helps the Ducks. BB can't play his style with the current crop of players.

I guess I should have thrown in an "IF" they Fire....

I don't like the handcuffs he has placed on players this year. I also don't like when we are up 2-0 against the sharks with 4 mins left, he puts the Kopi line out there and JMFJ has to eat a few punches from Clowe. Why not put Westie, Frazer and Clifford out there for the 4 seconds? Carlyle would!

This is now MTL's chance to get a coach who knows how to win. Will play the **** out of the "good" players they have, plus will most likely want to add some size to the 3rd and 4th line, and play them as well.

Win, win situation for ownership and the fans.

Rumor has it the Sabres are working on some sort of deal with the Ducks... Bobby Ryan has been mentioned... just throwing it out there, but with the Ducks going Boudreau and the Sabres in need of a legit tough guy - could the Stache concievably be a part of a package? I'm not up on the salaries, contracts etc so I don't know if it's an option... and I am not even sure the pansy Sabres are looking for a HW... but it would make sense to me at least...

I can agree with that.

Ducks problem is NOT their coach

The problem isn't Randy carlisle, the problem is the team sucks. It needs to enter rebuilding mode. Amazes me how people think you can change coaches and the players on the ice will become better, younger and less selfish. Not going to happen, no goalie worth a crap, One decent (not great) line and no defense. They are a last place team and will be the same with Boudreau, trade and build for the future.
A good start?

Not surprised at this at all - I predicted Carlyle would be next to go after the Boudreau and Maurice firings - the Ducks have been brutal this season and have really dug themselves a deep hole that may be impossible to get out of. Last nights win wasn't enough to save his job - I'm guessing Boudreau's sudden avialability this week only helped in regards to the timing of it all.

So, who's next? Sutter? Arniel?
