Is he healthy enough to play/fight now? He was out for a while with concussion symptoms after smacking his head on the ice in a fight with Bissonnette.

Brookbank has a small cap hit. TB can probably eat it if they have to. It may be like the Pens trading Sabourin to Edmonton. The Oil didn't really want him and told him not to report and waived him. I guess he's in Springfield now. Brookbank is probably going straight to Norfolk with Melichar.

Maybe Wade can actually play in Tampa now. The guy deserves a shot but it will be tough splitting fights with Koci. Brookbank was all kinds of active last season and was my pick for a Top 10 slot this season. Maybe this trade will be a kick in the ass to start wrecking everything in sight again.

Oh i expect them to go the A right away but still, why not try and package Jokinen and Hall for a decent D man ? i know our ownership is fuking beyond retarded but still intelligence has to prevail at some point.

I hope Z gets the call up in the next few days .

Maurice has and always will have a giant vagina filled with epic amounts of sand, the guy just has an empty pouch.

I dont think Maurice will play him..
What about Tom Rowe? Which job does he have in the organization? Is he the coach from Albany? if I am correct Rowe is a good guy and likes Gillies.

Interesting trade.. doesn't make much sense to me. Tampa already has Koci and Norfolk is loaded with toughness.
Jokinen is also worthless, but I can understand Maurice wanting him since he's gay.

I was wondering about that too. Neither Koci nor Brookbank make a whole lot of $$$$, but Koci is much beloved in Norfolk, so he'd probably get to go there. But the Admirals already have Jay Rosehill and Brent Henley as the resident heavyweights, so they don't need either guy. And Tampa didn't play Koci often enough, let alone 2 heavyweights, so unless they're working out a trade involving Koci or one of the heavies at the AHL level, I agree that this deal doesn't make sense for Tampa.

This is Jokinen's 3rd franchise already in what, 13 months?
