Brad Marchand Fined for Slew-Footing Matt Niskanen

NEW YORK – Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been fined $2,500, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slew-footing Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Matt Niskanen in NHL Game No. 388 in Pittsburgh on Monday, Dec. 5, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 3:19 of the first period. Marchand was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.

The fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

I cannot believe he was fined. it was just a little slew footing. The game is getting close to unwatchable now. And that slimeball Malkin gets nothing for trying to take a guys head off?? I'm done. Where is Kunitz' suspension for trucking Crosby?? Obviously there is a conspiracy afoot.

A Bruin would have to pull out a gun on the ice and shoot somebody to get suspended.

As long as there is not intent to hit someone with that bullett, no bruin will be suspended.

I figured the matter had been settled on the ice. Surprised there was a need for a fine. I guess Pops Campbells influence is slipping.

Well, Lucic has never shot anybody before, so we took that into consideration.

No surprises here. I was pretty sure the league was going to review that one and either give a game or a fine. I really wish the Nose Face Killah would take that crap out of his game while still being and annoying, instigating, goal scoring stud. I wont be surprised if Looch get a fine or a game for the knee on knee the other night. That being said, two of my favorite players on the team that sometimes let their emotions take over.

Keep crying about no suspensions for the B's you whiny bitches.

Wait until Hamonic gets suspended..then the big guns are going to come out huh Bob???

Anyways this was a classic slewfoot. We see it happen in the game a lot,and never is it called. They even called it tripping in the game.I thought it was a little dirty, but thought it was taken care of on the ice the way it should be.But obviously ShanaFineBan is on a roll here, and is throwing his authority around.

Not exactly sure what most of you saw. Sure, I'm bias. But that was a classic slew foot easily deserving a fine if not a one game suspension. That being said, it was good to see the boys work it out on their own during the game..

Brad "return of the Rat" Marchand slewfooted Matt Niskanen because his team has got away with that kind of crap and a lot worst ever since Chippy Campbell junior joined this team of gang swarming thugs.
And there is the optic of Bruin officiating crews all sucking up to Chippy's dad Quirky Campbell so they don't get fired like Dean Warren did, also they make big bonus’s doing playoff games.
When a repeat offender coward like this rodent only gets a fine for a intent to injure, it tells me Bettmans officiating and league disciplinary system is still corrupt and needs a lot more repair then Shanahan can accomplish by himself.
Boston won a tainted Cup and anybody that says otherwise is full of ****.
