One of my favorite players. I actually bought his curve for the blade of my stick. Glad he is a Sabre so now both of my favorite non-fighters are on the same team!

He can play center, originally he was brought up and groomed to be a center.

Interesting deal - Boyes's numbers have been disappointing since he bust out with that 42, than a 33 goal season a couple years, but he had already hit last years numbers this season. Still, kind of felt like he slipped down the Blues depth chart with all the other younger talent being more in the future plans than him. If he can find that scoring touch again he could be a good pickup for the Sabres.

One would assume that he will play center for the Sabres.

Nope. Boyes is purely a winger now.

I was thinking the Sabres have a need for a center more than another winger so maybe they will give him a shot there. Time will tell I suppose.
