Wonder if they will sign Eager now, if so they would have a fairly tough team. BTW I think Boulton would be a better fit on the Sabres or Wings. I heard the Habs are done signing players so I guess no enforcer for them.

happy dance!!

fatt patt to answer your question about eager, it'll depend what the arbitrator gives out if it makes it to the hearing cause they could walk away from it. the minimum he'll get is $1 million and some change which who knows what the trash will do if he gets a decent sized raise from the arbitrator.

Good for Boulton!! He fits in nicely with ATL. Quietly goes about his business. Teams abuse the Thrashers on the scoreboard but not physically.

Good deal for the Thrashers. Boulton is a solid fighter, has no problem fighting bigger opponents, and has a decent hockey skill set. I think it was a good price for Atlanta and I'm glad to see he'll be in the NHL next season.

Boulton deserves to be at least an alternate captain in ATL.

Boulton is not the biggest guy but he does well against the big boys and he seems like a good team guy.

Unless I am forgetting somebody Boulton is now the best fighter in the Southeast division, kind of strange considering how many good fighters are in the Eastern Conference.

I'm glad to hear this, I was sweating it out thinking he wouldnt resign. He's a tough guy who often fights out of his weightclass and he doesn't have bad hands for a 4th liner. Plus the guy's been around in ATL for a long time so I agree with one of the other poster's he should be an alt captain.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kendra Holland sits on his ass and twiddles his thumbs.
