Boston Signs Benoit Pouliot to One-Year Deal

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has signed free agent forward Benoit Pouliot to a one-year contract.

The 24-year-old Alfred, Ontario native played in 79 games for the Montreal Canadiens in the 2010-2011 season and set a career high in points (30), assists (17) and penalty minutes (87) to go along with 13 goals. Pouliot contributed 28 goals and 25 assists in 118 contests for the Canadiens over portions of two seasons.

For his career, the 6’3’’, 195-pound winger has recorded 37-35-72 totals in 183 NHL games with the Minnesota Wild and Canadiens.

Pouliot was originally drafted by the Wild in the first round (4th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

On November 23, 2009, the Wild traded Pouliot to Montreal in exchange for Guillaume Latendresse.

Ugh, I hate this douche bag. The B's would be better off just burning $1.1 million.

You'll come around on Talbot and Jagr as well, plus once the Flyers sign of somebody you approve of you'll be back kissing they're ass.

Ironically though Poliot could probably beat up any of the Flyer signings today.

Can't beat 'em, scared sh1tless of 'em, wake up in a cold sweat worried you'll end up a crumpled broken neck mess at center ice because of 'em, join 'em.

I guess the bright side to this deal is that now I have a new player to sh*t on every game, now that Michael Ryder is gone.
