Its true... offseason shoulder surgery plus recurring back issues haven't helped Derek's cause.

New regime is looking to clean house and start over.

Good point. But if Burke is willing to give Sugden a tryout, you gotta think if the price is right as you say that Burke would be willing to give Boogaard a chance. He's the ultimate intimidation factor in an enforcer if he can stay healthy.

That's the big point. Its great to be big, scary and intimidating... but you have to be in the lineup. 133 games played out of the last 240....

On top of that, with Derek's comments about not willing to take the instigator, I think is another huge aspect to the team possibly looking elsewhere. Especially from a GM that has had guys like Eric Godard, George Parros, Paul Laus and Peter Worrell - all more than willing to take the 2, 5, 10.
