St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward
Andrew Murray to a one-year, two-way contract.
Murray, 30, dressed in 39 games for the
San Jose Sharks last season recording four points (one goal, three assists) and four penalty minutes while also appearing in 10 games for their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate,
Worcester Sharks, tallying three points (two goals, one assist). Overall, the 6’2, 218-pound forward has appeared in five National Hockey League (NHL) seasons (2007-2012) totaling 40 points (24 goals, 16 assists) and 36 penalty minutes in 220 games between San Jose and the
Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Selkirk, Manitoba native was originally drafted by Columbus in the eighth round, 242nd overall, of the 2001 Entry Draft.
