Blues Re-Sign Crombeen
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Wednesday the club has re-signed forward B.J. Crombeen to a two-year contract extension.
“B.J. has been a true professional for the Blues organization on and off the ice,” said Armstrong. “His gritty play and leadership qualities fit in well with our mix of players.” Crombeen, 25, has spent the majority of the past three seasons with the Blues including playing in a career high 80 games in 2010-11 recording 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) and 154 penalty minutes. Overall, the 6’2, 214-pound forward has appeared in 248 games in his four-year National Hockey League (NHL) career totaling 53 points (26 goals, 27 assists) to go along with 509 penalty minutes. The Denver, Colorado native was originally drafted by Dallas in the second round, 54th overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He was claimed off waivers by the Blues on November 18, 2008.

Good deal for Crombeen and the Blues. Decently productive and fights... not a bad deal at all.

I would've dumped Janssen and signed Godard or MacIntyre.

I like this signing for both sides. Crombeen brings a good mix of skill and toughness and I only expect him to get better as St. Louis progresses with its rebuild.

I thought BJ had a great year and had some great bouts. The Blues are better off keeping him on the roster and at 1 mil a year he is a steal for them.

I know Crombeen is glad to stick in St. Louis. He was worried about the Blues plans for him. I guess he'll probably have the most fights for the Blues next season. Good signing by the Blues.

I like this signing by the Blues. He works hard and has some decent skill to go along with his fighting.
