Blues Re-Sign Bryce Salvador, Eric Boguniecki and Colin Hemingway

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President & General Manager Larry Pleau today announced the club has re-signed defenseman Bryce Salvador. The Blues also announced that forwards Eric Boguniecki and Colin Hemingway accepted qualifying offers.

Salvador, 29, has played his entire NHL career over the past four NHL seasons with the Blues, skating in 281 regular-season games, notching 40 points (12 goals, 28 assists) along with 289 penalty minutes.

"We're pleased to say that Bryce's career as a member of the St. Louis Blues will continue for several more years," said Pleau. "He has been a steady performer on the ice and his leadership will be key to our success moving forward. In addition, his community involvement and strong character have made him an excellent representative of this organization."

The 6-2, 214-pound defenseman posted a career-high 12 points (five goals, seven assists) during the 2001-02 season with St. Louis. He also turned in a career-high plus-seven plus-minus rating during the 2002-03 season.

Salvador made his NHL debut with St. Louis on Oct. 5, 2000 at Phoenix. The Brandon, Manitoba native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on Dec. 16, 1996.

I'm glad they signed Salvador. Fairly good positional d-man who takes the body and drops the gloves every now and then.
