Blues Claim Anderson Off Waivers; Place Mayers on IR
ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President & General Manager Larry Pleau announced today the club has claimed goaltender Craig Anderson on waivers from the Boston Bruins. In addition, the Blues have assigned goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu and forward Trent Whitfield to its American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen and have placed forward Jamal Mayers on injured reserve.

Anderson, 24, has played in 14 games this season with the Chicago Blackhawks, posting a 2-8-1 record, a .866 save percentage along with a 3.90 goals against average.

Mayers suffered a fractured right foot on January 30 versus Calgary and is expected to be out six to eight weeks.

I guess this saves them from trying to get LaLime through waivers. My guess is they'll trade LaLime at the deadline now. It looks like Boulerice will get some ice time with Mayers gone for awhile. Hate to see that happen to Jamal.

Man Jackman is hurt also, maybe Boulerice will play now sence the Injurys.

I have'nt heard anything about Jackman being hurt yet although he could be day to day if he got his bell rung.

He is a day-to-day injury, but I was wondering if Boulerice will play.
