Blues Activate Jaroslav Halak from IR; Assign Jake Allen to Peoria (AHL)
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the club activated goaltender Jaroslav Halak from injured reserve on Sunday.
In addition, the Blues assigned goaltender Jake Allen to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen. Halak, 27, has appeared in five games this season, posting a 3-0-0 record with a 2.10 goals-against average and an .889 save percentage. He is tied for the League lead with two shutouts. The Bratislava, Slovakia native was originally drafted by Montreal in the ninth round (271st overall) of the 2003 Entry Draft. |

Problem is that Halak is made of glass, I think this is his second groin injury in a year, not good when you are a smaller goalie having to make quick moves across the blue paint...
