ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Thursday they have acquired forward T.J. Hensick from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Julian Talbot.
Hensick, 24, played in seven games for Colorado last season, recording three points (1g, 2a) and played in 58 games last season for Lake Erie of the American Hockey League, scoring 20 goals and adding 50 assists for 70 points. In 2008-09 he played in 61 games for the Avalanche and recorded 21 points (4g, 17a). The 5’10”, 190 lb. Howell, Michigan native was originally drafted by Colorado in the 3rd round (88th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Talbot, 25, played in 76 games in 2009-10 for Peoria and recorded 32 points (17g, 15a). He has spent the last three seasons in Peoria. |

Hensick scored 70 points in 58 games on a very bad Monsters squad Chilly.
Talbot is a career AHL'er from what I've seen. I think this is a bad trade for the Avs. Just my opinion.

that wasn't what i was meaning. i meant in training camp and **** like that. plus if sacco didn't take him last year up with him, then he would never be brought up and given a chance to keep a job because most coaches like to give their guys that they've coached in the minors a chance. hensick never got it which gives me the thought that hensick doesn't fit in somehow with sacco and/or the avs.

Their GM is a braindead retard!
Even if he never got called up again he was really tearinmg sh*t up with Lake Erie this is gonna fuk up their scoring next season for sure.

Love the deal for the Blues.
Get extra scoring help, and putting TJ with Osh or Backes will, IMO, pay instant dividends.

wow you are so out there again. that "braindead retard" of a gm built a team last season that made the playoffs out of nowhere, so obviously he's a whole hell of a lot smarter than you give him credit for. plus i also highly doubt he's gives two ****s about lake erie's scoring next season too.

Well, it's my opinion that we really aren't losing very much in Hensick. I don't know what you guys are saying he never had a chance, he had plenty of them. The guy is just a bust, career AHL'er. Still, we managed to get hosed in this deal though. I would have been happier with a crappy pick or something.

Another nice pickup by the Blues. Talbot wasn't going anywhere in the Blues organization. Hensick will get every chance to make the big club out of training camp.
