COLUMBUS, OHIO - The
Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Joe Motzko from the
Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Motzko is expected to join the club and be available to play in tomorrow's game at Los Angeles.
Motzko, 26, has tallied 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points with 29 penalty minutes and is +2 in 31 games with the Crunch this season. He leads Syracuse in points and assists and also ranks tied-12th in the AHL in assists. He was signed as a free agent by the Blue Jackets on May 15, 2003, and is scoreless in four career games with the Blue Jackets. The Bemidji, Minnesota, native has also tallied 83-119-172 with 193 penalty minutes in 251 career AHL games.
